Event Systematic perspective

Employees need more than a message explaining why a new tool is exciting. They need a way to describe where the proposed process will fail and to see how that feedback affects decisions. A consultation session becomes useful when someone owns the responses and communicates what changed.

For a service or manufacturing team, collect concerns around specific scenarios: an incorrect output, an urgent exception or an unavailable system. Review these with the implementation team and publish a short response log. Some suggestions will be adopted and others will not, but the reasoning should be clear.

Put it into practice

  • Invite feedback from different shifts, locations and levels of experience.
  • Give the project team a deadline to respond to operational concerns.
  • Review employee experience after launch and adjust the process where evidence supports a change.
