Event Systematic perspective

If routine preparation is automated, employers need to redesign how a newcomer gains professional judgement. The answer is not simply to demand more experience at the point of entry. Create assignments that expose learners to context, trade-offs and feedback at an appropriate level of responsibility.

A junior recruiter, for example, can review a synthetic candidate brief, identify missing evidence and explain which questions a human interviewer should ask. An experienced recruiter then reviews the reasoning. The task develops understanding while keeping consequential decisions with a qualified supervisor.

Put it into practice

  • Identify the learning value of entry-level tasks before removing them from the workflow.
  • Provide progressive assignments with explicit supervision and feedback.
  • Assess readiness for greater responsibility through observed work rather than confidence with an AI interface.
