Event Systematic perspective

A sponsored programme can connect these areas through a clear agreement between the learner, educator and employer. The employer contributes realistic task requirements; the educator designs practice and assessment; the learner receives support and transparent expectations. A sponsor’s contribution should not be presented as a guaranteed placement.

Begin with a small cohort and a defined capability. Use synthetic or appropriately authorised materials, arrange practitioner feedback and provide a portfolio review at the end. Follow up on applications, interviews and confirmed outcomes separately. This creates a credible record of what the programme achieved and where support is still needed.

Put it into practice

  • Publish entry criteria, support offered and the limits of any employment commitment.
  • Give every learner access to mentoring and the equipment needed to practise.
  • Report outcomes consistently, including completion and assessed skills as well as employment results.
