Event Systematic perspective

The practical career response is to show where judgement improves an outcome. A professional can document how they questioned an assumption, resolved inconsistent information or guided a difficult conversation. These examples make expertise visible in a way that a generic claim to be ‘AI-enabled’ does not.

For an employer, assessment should reflect the role’s actual decisions. Give candidates a case with incomplete evidence and ask what they would investigate before acting. Allow them to explain how a tool could help and where they would retain human review. The goal is to identify capability that remains useful as the tools change.

Put it into practice

  • Ask for examples of judgement with an explanation of the evidence and consequences.
  • Distinguish tool familiarity from responsibility for a professional outcome.
  • Give existing employees a pathway to demonstrate and develop these capabilities through real assignments.
