Event Systematic perspective

The implication for a hiring brief is to specify what the person must deliver. Building a workflow, maintaining it and judging its outputs are different from knowing how to ask a chatbot a question. The role should make the required level of responsibility clear.

For a practical assessment, give candidates a small process with an ambiguous input and a failure case. Ask them to explain the proposed workflow, what they would automate and how they would check it. A credible answer includes limitations and recovery, not only a polished demonstration. The result should be evaluated against the job’s actual needs rather than the number of tools mentioned.

Put it into practice

  • Define a work outcome and acceptance criteria before advertising AI requirements.
  • Test verification, documentation and exception handling as well as creation.
  • Provide development routes for employees whose current roles are changing.
